Idiyappam flour is made from dried rice which is ground to form a flour that has a smooth texture and is white in colour. Idiyappams are a healthy dinner recipe in South India. The flour can be mixed with hot water and some salt and then pressed in by an Idiyappam maker. The Idiyappams can be steamed for a few minutes in a normal idler maker and served hot with chutney.
