Export Ban for non-basmati rice from India (20-07-2023)

Dear Customers,

At Nila Groceries, we understand that recent developments, such as the export ban on non-basmati white rice in India, have created concerns among rice consumers worldwide. We would like to assure you that we are committed to handling this situation with utmost social responsibility and ensuring rice equality for all our customers.
In light of the current circumstances, we want to emphasize our dedication to maintaining fair pricing and not taking advantage of the situation to increase prices. Our priority is to ensure that our customers do not experience unnecessary panic and uncertainty during these challenging times.
We are actively exploring alternative sources of rice to meet the demand and maintain a steady supply for all our customers. Rest assured that we are closely monitoring the situation and working diligently to mitigate any potential impacts on availability.
We believe that solidarity and cooperation are essential during such difficult periods. We encourage our customers to join hands with us and other responsible stakeholders to face this situation together. By supporting each other and exercising prudence in rice consumption, we can collectively manage the current challenges.
To further support our customers during this period, we have made a positive change to our shipping policy. Effective immediately, if anyone places an order exceeding 500 SEK in value anywhere in Sweden, the shipping charge will be completely free. This initiative is aimed at making sure that rice reaches everyone in Sweden without any additional burden.
We value your trust in Nila Groceries, and we are committed to transparent communication throughout this process. Please be assured that we will keep you informed about any updates or changes that may arise.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our customer support team, who will be more than happy to assist you.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding. Together, we can navigate through these times responsibly and emerge stronger.
Best Regards,
Nila Groceries Sales Team

The rise in price - July 2022

Dear Customers,

Good day! Hope you are all doing great.

First, we would like to take the opportunity to thank you for the tremendous support you have extended to us.

As you might already be aware, every company is passing through a tough time due to the freight crisis and inflation worldwide. The spike in freight charges and inflation started late last year and as per the industry experts, the crisis will continue over months if not years to come. We have been managing it to date. Unfortunately, now we are in a position that makes us not viable to continue absorbing the additional cost, and therefore the product prices will rise in the upcoming days.

Hope you understand our situation and we wish that you continue to extend great support as always.
