Sona Masoori rice, also known as Sona Masuri is a white, medium-grain rice, grown in the southern states of India, mainly in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka.In the Telugu language Sona Masoori rice is called "Bangaru Theegalu" or "Golden Ivy".
