Garam Masala is the most common spice blend used throughout India. This particular blend is a regional blend of garam masala from South India. This is a mixture of spices. Addition of 5 to 10gm of sakthi garam masala will increase the taste and flavour of vegetarian and non-vegetarian preparations. The spices for garam masala are usually roasted to bring out more flavor and aroma and then ground. The word masala simply means 'spice' and garam means 'hot'. Garam masala adds warmth, sweetness, floral notes and a touch of heat from the black pepper. It is intended to be a fragrant spice as well as flavorful. Garam masala is generally not fiery hot.
